The art installation Canbridge is a metaphor. The bridge, made up of almost 10,000 cans complemented by lighting effects and music, creates a transition from indifference to awareness of the need to recycle.

Canbridge was accessible during the White Night in Bratislava in 2016. The installation offered the public the opportunity to participate in the construction of the artwork by bringing their used drink can or taking one of the prepared ones and attaching it to the installation.

The authors of the installation were design students from the Faculty of Architecture and Design, STU in Bratislava under the guidance of Zuzana Turlikova. 

 

The installation promotes the idea of recycling in society and highlights the unconventional use of the material from which these beverage containers are made.
